Terms of use

1. Service

Mapa is an app for self-reflection. Using fixed, traceable rules, it calculates a profile based on astrology, numerology and other symbolic systems and explains the results in texts.

Results are symbolic and meant for self-reflection. They are not intended to foresee events and are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The underlying systems are not scientifically proven. Do not base important decisions on them, and consult professionals where needed.

Some features are free. More content is available with the "Full reading" purchase or the "Mapa Daily" subscription.

2. Account and age

The app starts with an anonymous account. You can link it to your Apple or Google account; after purchasing Mapa Daily and for the AI consultant this link is required so that purchases and conversations are protected.

Use is permitted from age 16, the AI consultant from age 18.

3. Purchases and subscription

Purchases are made only through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing and refunds are additionally governed by the terms of the respective store. Prices include statutory VAT; in other currencies, the prices shown by the store before purchase apply.

Full reading - €19.99 one-time

Permanently unlocks the full content for your own profile. One change of birth data (for example correcting the time of birth) is included free of charge. The purchase does not apply to other people's profiles and can be restored on other devices with the same store account.

Mapa Daily - €9.99 per month

Monthly subscription with automatic renewal. Includes the Full reading content for the duration of the subscription, plus daily themes, periods, calendar and, once available, the AI consultant. The subscription renews for one month at a time unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. When the subscription ends, its features end.

Child - one-time packs: 1 child €9.99, 2 children €14.99, 3 children €19.99, 5 children €24.99

Permanently unlocks the "Child" section for the purchased number of child profiles. A larger pack can be bought later.

There are no hidden trial periods. If a trial or special offer is available, the store shows its conditions before purchase. Promo codes exist as App Store or Google Play codes. In addition, we may issue our own access codes (for example for testers) that unlock content free of charge for a period shown in the app.

Deleting the app or the account does not end a subscription. Please cancel it in the store first.

4. Right of withdrawal for digital content

As a consumer you generally have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from conclusion of the contract. To exercise it, a clear statement to us (for example by email to buero@wob.mba) or a refund request to the respective store is sufficient.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires under § 356(5) BGB once we have begun supply, after you have expressly consented before purchase to our starting before the withdrawal period ends and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Consent and acknowledgement are given in the purchase flow of the respective store; you also receive the confirmation of the contract from the store.

Your statutory rights in case of defects of digital products (§§ 327 ff. BGB) remain unaffected.

5. AI consultant

• The AI consultant is an artificial intelligence, not a human. It is included in Mapa Daily and only for people aged 18 or over.
• It uses the results calculated by the app and our reviewed texts. Answers may still contain errors; check important statements.
• It does not give medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. In a crisis, please call the emergency number 112 or a support service in your country.
• A daily usage limit applies and is shown in the app.
• You can report individual answers in the app. In case of abuse we may restrict access to the consultant.

6. Acceptable use

Please use the app only for your own private purposes. In particular, it is not permitted to:

• enter or share other people's data without their consent;
• read out, copy or resell app content by automated means;
• circumvent purchases, limits or security measures, or decompile the app beyond what the law allows;
• use the AI consultant for unlawful, offensive or harmful content.

Texts, graphics and software of the app are protected by copyright. You may share social media cards created by the app privately.

7. Availability and changes

We provide the updates needed to keep the app in conformity with the contract. Beyond that, we may change the app for a valid reason (for example technical development, new legal requirements) without extra cost to you. If a change affects your access or use more than insignificantly, we inform you in advance; you then have the rights under § 327r BGB.

We cannot promise uninterrupted availability of online features, for example during maintenance or service provider outages.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and to the extent of any guarantee we have given.

For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, meaning obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

Otherwise liability is excluded. Statutory warranty rights for digital products remain unaffected.

9. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app (Delete account). You cancel a subscription in the store. We may terminate the contract for good cause, in particular for serious breaches of section 6.

10. Governing law and language

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain unaffected.

These terms are available in six languages. The German version is legally binding.
